About Us
Since 1998, Action Systems, Inc. has been developing custom desktop and web-based
database applications and solutions for a variety of businesses, including
manufacturers, retailers, not-for-profit organizations, cultural centers, hospitals,
universities, pharmaceutical corporations, and medical research facilities, throughout
the Chicagoland area and beyond.
A little bit of history...
Action Systems was founded in 1990 under the name of TBCSpecialites, a consulting
firm specializing in database development and computer training.
In 1998 TBCSpecialites changed its name to Action Systems and has continued to
provide quality business analysis, system development, and staff training for a
wide range of businesses.
From the beginning, we had a strong commitment to developing quality applications using
a wide range of technologies and tools. The ability to rapidly adopt and incorporate
new technologies which best serve the needs of our customers as well as the flexibility
to move from one project type to another has been key to our success.
In addition to the standard needs of most businesses we have extensive experience
in designing, implementing, and documenting software solutions for businesses and
organizations that must follow strict federal regulations, including but not
limited to regulations for Institutional Review Boards (21 CFR Part 56, 45 CFR
Part 46), regulations for Animal Care and Use (21 CFR Part 58, 9 CFR Part 2), and
regulations for the storage of electronic records (21 CFR Part 11).
